Shared Solutions for Strong Childcare

The Montgomery County Shared Resources Collaborative is a pioneering initiative dedicated to strengthening the business side of early childhood education (ECE) across our community. Launched in partnership with Montgomery County and local child care leaders, the Collaborative is designed to help providers thrive by reducing operational burdens, creating cost efficiencies, and building a supportive network of peers.

Through this collaborative approach, the Collaborative ensures that child care providers — whether family child care homes or center-based programs — have access to the tools, expertise, and community they need to run strong, sustainable businesses. By streamlining business operations, we help providers focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality care and early learning experiences for children.

Our Mission

To build a vibrant, resilient early childhood ecosystem in Montgomery County by offering shared business services and resources, expert coaching, and peer connections that allow providers to operate more effectively, grow their programs, and sustain high-quality care.

Built with Providers, for Providers

This initiative was shaped by listening closely to the needs of Montgomery County’s child care community. The Collaborative was designed not just for providers, but with them, ensuring that services are practical, culturally responsive, and aligned with the real-world challenges local programs face.

Our Partnership

The Collaborative is led by Montgomery County and implemented by 20 Degrees, an experienced early childhood technical assistance partner selected through a competitive process to manage shared services initiatives. With deep expertise in early childhood business operations and provider support, 20 Degrees brings tailored strategies and a hands-on approach to helping providers achieve success.
